My view:
Destiny of Shattered Dreams is a story of Atul Malhotra,
the journey of a boy next door to a business tycoon. I loved to read this book,
how politicians use their dirty money through business man is perfectly
articulated in the book, also the harsh side of corporate world is shown in the
book.
The novel starts in a jail where a protagonist Atul
Malhotra reveal his entire story to his two cell mates, how he is being framed
in money laundering and financial misconducts. As the author Nilesh Rathod is
from corporate world he has presented the novel just like a movie.
Now the plot of the story is really awesome, it’s totally
different from monotonous like breakup, college romance, revenge etc. I think
in this novel author has taken real incidents what he has watched or gone
through during his corporate journey. I am very much impressed with the writing
style of the author, it’s too good, a perfect page turner from the debut
author.
One of the best thing which I have read in this novel
is the detailed explanation of how money is transferred to foreign land and how
that money being brought back to India as FII (Foreign Institutional Investor).
Destiny of Shattered Dreams is a pack of scam,
politics, murder, rages to richness, corporate world, prison, business
thriller, CBI’s investigation etc. it’s a roller coster ride of Atul Malhotra. Want
to read something new from Nilesh Rathod for his next novel.
Blurb:
An insider’s view into what goes on behind the
glittering façade of corporate stardom, DESTINY OF SHATTERED DREAMS is a
fast-paced tale of a brilliant young man’s meteoric rise at business. It is
also a moving portrayal of love and its fallibility.
Ambition, passion, and raw courage are Atul Malhotra’s
key aides to realizing his dreams as he learns the art of gambling for high
stakes. What follows is a game of treachery, infidelity and murder.
The book lays bare the sordid corporate-politico nexus
that compels this once middle-class boy to deftly learn the ropes and negotiate
a world where dirty deals and power plays can make or break lives, where one
wrong choice could prove fatal.
A tale of yachts and hidden Swiss accounts, sordid
affairs of lust, intrigue and exhilarating highs, Nilesh Rathod’s DESTINY OF
SHATTERED DREAMS is also the story of innocence forever lost.
