My View:

Exceptionally, this is the best book so far I have read about Ravi Subramanian. You will never resist until last page. All the previous work of Ravi has Banking as a core subject, while this book focuses on new concept i.e. the virtual currency of online world “Bitcoin”, although banking is also a part of this book. If you are unaware of Bitcoin, this book will provide good knowledge on it. Author has done an extensive research on Bitcon. The plot is excellent where reader feels to know by turning the page, that who is pulling the strings.

The novel begins with a discussion between CEO’s of Visa International and MasterCard. Novel progresses with the death of US Senator, Gillian Tan. While in India Swami the head of retail banking of NYIB (New York International Bank) in Mumbai gets a message of scam, swami reports the scam to CEO Malvika. Novel gets its pace with lead character of Sundeep and Aditya who runs a gaming company in India. Varun the son of Aditya a genius and a drug dealer meets Tanya the daughter of Malvika.

The turning point of the book is the death of Malvika, Tanya thinks her mother is being murdered with the help of finance minister of India. While in New York the biggest ATM heist occurs at the same time. Adrain Scott of FBI and Kabir Khan of CBI in India investigate the whole matter. The plot of the book is interwoven with gaming industry, banking, US Senator, FBI, CBI, finance minister of India, love, betrayal, revenge and few elements of terrorists.

The chapters are small and the novel is fast pace without any difficult jargons. The book gives a good knowledge on high profile banking jobs, gaming industry and emerging bitcoin market.  A must read for those who loves thriller novels.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CORSS GAMER, BANKER, POLITICIAN AND TERRORIST WITH VIRTUAL MONEY?

From the bestselling author of If God Was a Banker comes the first ever bitcoin thriller. God is a Gamer is a world where money means nothing, martyrs are villains, predators are prey, assassination is taught by the ancient Greeks, and nothing is as its seems.

Moving from Washington’s Congress to Delhi’s finance ministry, the beaches of Goa to the corporate boardrooms of Mumbai, this is Ravi Subramanian’s most gripping novel yet.
