My view:

When I got the book I was expecting something different from the author as I have already read her previous book Sita’s curse. From the title and the blurb of this book I was expecting something unique other than sexual, sensual and bold ingredient what I have read in her previous novel, although what I got in the book as a one night stand that changes the life of Dushyant Singh Rathore in search of true love. Each one of us have undergone in a situation where you are traveling or you encounter with someone to whom you feel that yes I want to make some further relations with her/him but your guts or your destiny doesn’t provide what you needed, all are not fortunate like the protagonist of this book who makes ends meet in search for his soul mate.

I loved the book because of his pace and usage of simple language through the book, this novel can be read in one sitting if you are in a long journey. You’ve got the wrong girl is a romance novel with the message that the mindset of man are being changed, they too are in need of true love.

What I didn’t like in the book is too much bollywood name in the book, it is some what hyped by using the names of Sharukh Khan, Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif etc.

One of the best lines from the book which touched my heart “No one informs before they disappear, Dushyant. People come and go… like these moments.”

I highly recommend this novel; there is everything in the book romance, true love, sex, humor, best friend, high society life, etc. one of the biggest red light area i.e. Sonagachi is perfectly described by the author. A must read book.

P.S. Thank you Sreemoyee Piu Kundu for the signed copy book along with congratulation page marker from Hachette India. I won this book in a contest organized by Hachette India, thank you very much for the book.

Blurb:

ON A SULTRY NIGHT. ON A DESERTED LAWN OVERLOOKING A MOONLIT TAJ MAHAL. TWO STRANGERS MAKE PASSIONATE LOVE AND PROMISE NEVER TO MEET AGAIN…
BUT PROMISES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN. RIGHT?

This is the story of Dushyant Sing Rathore – the 30-something bestselling author of Kinda Cliched, a blockbuster romance novel based on his one night of bliss with a girl whose name he does not know. Under pressure to produce a money-spinning sequel – from his obsessive fans, his hit-seeking publisher, his pushy agent and a skeptical journalist ready to expose the true-story angle as a marketing gimmick – he sets off, three years on, to find the elusive girl whom he had promised never to seek out.

When his quest, many twists and turns later, leads him to the unlikeliest of places and the strangest of characters, Dushyant discovers there’s a little more to his search than he had anticipated. Will Dushyant discover his mystery woman? What if the wrong girl was really always the right one for him? Will he get a second chance?

Delightful, unconventional and heart-warming, You’ve Got the Wrong Girl is about one man’s journey to discover his heart and the supremely unpredictable nature of love.
