My view:

This is the first time I am reading Ahmed Faiyaz, this novel Bestseller is having totally unique plot, with lots of humor and entertainment. An ailing, but once a famous publishing house Kalim running by the UK based magazine Lee pocket books wants’ at least 5 bestseller to continue their work in India.

I was unaware of how publishing house work, but after reading this book atleast I came to know that its difficult to survive even for reputed company in this cut throat competition to give a bestseller, also the way this book is presented give a glimpse on how work is done by Indian publishing house (it’s a fiction book so cant say how true is this book).

The language and writing style of author is simple and easy to grasp, I liked the humor added to this book which is much appreciated and plus point of these book. Bestseller is a light read with a hot coffee on table, a not so demanding book where you don’t have to use your brain, just relax and read this rollercoaster ride of an ailing publishing house.

I don’t want to reveal entire plot, but for the basic it starts with a person Akshay Mathur who is forced to India to run an ailing British take over company called Kalim Publishing, the owner of the company called Angus Lee wants’ 5 bestseller in one year. Akshay makes a team of 5 people to run the firm, luck is on his favor and enters the character called Sudhir who writes on Sci-fi, Vinod Dutta writes on erotic and Anya malik on romantic. Now, just go to the book seller and grab the book, you will not regret purchasing this book.

Lucid narration, quirky dialogues and perfect plot makes this book really a bestseller. I recommend this book who wants’ to know about publishing house, how they work and what they do to make any book bestseller is revealed in the book, also those who love to read on Bollywood will also like this book.

“I received this beautiful book from writersmelon.com in exchange for an honest and unbiased review”

From Back cover:

Akshay Mathur, an out-of-work editor of a defunct literary magazine in UK, has moved to India to turnaround kalim, an ailing publisher. But, he has just one year to do so.
To complicate things further, Akshay has to contend with a motley crew of has-beens and misfits working for the publishing house as well as wannabe writers, including an ageing Bollywood heart-throb. In a trial by fire, where he has to make it big or go bust, he also has to clear his head on whom he truly loves-the free-spirited and practical Zorah Kalim, who is the only daughter of the founder of Kalim Publishing, or the flighty and vivacious Anya Malik. More importantly, he is yet to decide how far he is willing to go to succeed and adapt to this unfamiliar world.

Ahmed Faiyaz, bestselling author of Another Chance and Scammed, is back with yet another wicked and unputdownable page-turner that takes you on a roller-coaster ride through the topsy-turvy world of Indian Publishing.
